The Introverted Speaker: Stepping Out of the Default Programming

Stepping onto a public stage as a natural introvert is a deliberate design choice to challenge default limitations.

GrowthSpeakingBranding

As a natural introvert, stepping onto a stage goes against my default programming. But pursuing public speaking is a deliberate choice to push past my comfort zone.

If we only do what feels natural, we remain confined to our current environments. To build a powerful personal brand, you must occasionally run code that goes against your default OS.

Reprogramming Yourself

  1. Identify default settings: What do you do automatically out of fear or comfort?
  2. Write overrides: Actively choose actions that challenge these defaults.
  3. Commit publicly: When you commit to a speech or a launch date in public, you create a social contract that overrides internal hesitation.
